KARMAOur bodies are created life after life from desires. Strong desires repeat themselves again and again, forming certain fixed habits that cannot be changed. This is what is called being tied down to karma. Karma is habits cultivated through many lifetimes. Regardless of whether it is good or bad, it ties people down.
..... All great religions talk about the law of karma. If not, why would they preach and ask us to be kind if our actions had no consequences? That is why the laws of karma and reincarnation are mentioned in all the great religions. Sometimes it is more clearly explained, other times it is implied. Our laws have been created to protect the order of society, and there are also universal laws to look after the order and the well-being of all the creatures of the universe. We do not only live in a country, we are also citizens of the universe and each nation is similar to a mansion. We must therefore know the universal laws and if we respect them, they will protect us from experiencing lower levels of existence.
..... Regarding the notion of karma, you must know that there are two types of karma: human karma and universal karma. Men's laws are governed by an invisible force that cannot be grasped by human understanding. This is called in Sanskrit 'karma', meaning the Law of Cause and Effect. It is mentioned in the Bible as 'What you sow, so shall you reap.'
There is good and bad karma, but both imply attachment for you on earth. After initiation, the karma from past lives will be erased, but the Master does not touch the karma from this life. If not, you would die immediately. We must stay here for a while to bless the world and to help our friends. Afterward, we can go to Heaven and return whenever, if this is our wish. Karma is an invisible force, very fair and strong. What we have created will come back to us. This is the law of cause and effect.
..... We have karma because we have this computer, the mind, the brain which is meant to record every experience of this physical world. That is why we have it. Bad or good we register it in here. That is what we call karma. What is karma? Just the experiences, bad or good, our reactions, our learning experiences in many lifetimes. And because we have a kind of so-called conscience, we know we should be good and sometimes we did bad. The bad things weigh down on us, just like a lot of garbage, or luggage. Because of the law of gravity, it pulls us down and makes it difficult for us to climb the mountain. Because of a lot of moral disciplines in this world, lots of rules, lots of habits of different nations bind us within these so-called conceptions of good and bad, guilt and innocence. Therefore, we interact with people of this world, and we have experiences of good and bad, guilt and innocence according to the customs, and habits of that nation, the laws of that nation. Understand? It becomes a habit that we think that way, that we do this, that we are guilty, we do that, we are a bad person, etc. And this is all recorded in here. That is what makes us transmigrate and makes us bound into this physical world or a slightly higher world. We are not free enough, light enough to float above. It is because of all these concepts and misconceptions.
..... The more we waste, the heavier our karma is, because it is hard work for people to plant or produce everything from their sweat and tears. If we consume lavishly exceeding our blessed reward, we have to bear the remaining karma due to their hard work and pains. We have to compensate.
..... We should live with each other in love and don't mind the karma.
..... Everything has been created by ourselves.
..... Everything we seek now or later is what we want, what we created.
..... We have heard that everything is God's will. Even a hair falling down from our head is according to the Lord's arrangement. But why then do we have to suffer for what we do? As the Bible says, As you Sow, so shall you reap. Isn't that paradoxical? Isn't that too unfair for us? Well, it isn't.
It's is just that we do not know how to use it or maybe we do not want to use it, because life after life we gave been used to the so-called easy way. We do what we feel like doing at that moment, we live our life according to the dictates of out habits and the collected information that we have through our eyes, ears, nose, touch, etc. We have forgotten God's commandments.
..... We must take care not to make new karma. Don't make a new reaction to pull us into suffering anymore. We must keep the precepts and keep vigilant day and night with our spiritual strength. Whatever we desire at the time of death, we get. That is a problem and not many people know about it. That's why they don't think they will fall into hell but they will. It's a pity.
Only the Quan Yin Method can rescue people from this desire. It doesn't matter what force of karma. If you practice the Quan Yin Method, it will erase everything. It makes you deaf to every other temptation and desire. It just lifts you right up from everything, just like a helicopter lifts a person right up from a sea of burning fire or a sea of freezing water. So it doesn't matter how much fire or how much water, you are unharmed. That is the value of the Quan Yin Method.
..... Unless we change ourselves through spiritual practice, we will not be able to avoid our own karma.
..... After changing ourselves, we still have the karma; but it is as if we don't have any. It is because our power is tremendous, our patience strong and our faith very firm; no one can shake us.
..... Sentient beings are too arrogant. Arrogance is our most troublesome karma, our greatest obstacle.
..... Never blame others, one should blame oneself. No matter what happens to us, it's the result of our own karma.
..... We live in this world for many, many, many, many thousands of lifetimes, and we collect a lot of enemies. Sometimes we make mistakes and we disturb other people, we make other people suffer, or we kill other people. So, this life it comes back. If this time we don't protect ourselves with the power of God, then everything can harm us because millions of billions of troubles are waiting for us.
..... If you go to take a look in hell, you will see that it is full of leaders of the world. It is horrible; just that they do not know this! It is because one person influences so many people, and in turn the whole world. If he leads people astray, of course he will incur an incredible amount of karma. So, if we are ordinary people, before we become very advanced in our spiritual practice, when we do not have wisdom or many talents, we still have a chance to be saved, a chance to attain eternal liberation. If we do not have any talents, morality, love and wisdom, and we climb up to a very high position and be one of those important persons, then we are finished! (Laughter) It is really very dangerous. Do you understand? Our karma will increase thousands of millions of times.
For us small people, how many people can we influence? The most we can influence is our children. We can only set a bad example for our children, or the wife or husband. Is that not so? And there are also friends and relatives, if they listen to what we say. Therefore, we do not have a big influence. If we were big people, of course our influence would be incredible. We would also attract the kind of negative and low level force that is similar to ours, making the whole world even more negative, more shaky, heading further toward that direction, and consequently increasing the negative force even more. The karma would become heavier. That is why hell is full of kings. It's terrible, very terrible!
..... How much food and possessions we have in this lifetime was written before we were born. However, we can be above it with the power derived from spiritual practice.
